My favorite way to start seeds???? SOIL BLOCKING!!! It saves so much space and soil. We have limited space here and this gives us the most starts for room and lights. On my small lunch trays I can get 220 seeds started on each tray and my larger trays can hold 300 of the small soil block. It really helps me get more going.
